Duer Hot Spring Trek – is a seven day trek, passing through forests of juniper, hemlock and maple and attaining a maximum elevation of 4, 224 meters. The entire area is covered by snow during the months of winter. March to April and September to November are the ideal months for the trek. On the fourth day, the trail takes one to a small lake beyond which lies Luli La at 4, 700 meters. The rocky saddle formed by the ridge affords grand views of the mountain range. En route one can spot musk deer, Himalayan boar and blue sheep. Near Duer, a hot spring is situated at 3, 590 meters where one can take dips, relax and let the hot spring waters soothe those aching muscles….a natural outdoor Jacuzzi.
